Does kinesiology really work?

It's the question I get asked the most, sometimes out loud, sometimes I can just see it or feel it as someone lie down on the table for the first time.
"Is holding my wrist would actually going to do anything?" lol
I love that question, so let's look at it properly.
It's not the medical model but a wellness model

I don't diagnose illness, and I don't ask anyone to swap their doctor or their medication for a session with me. What I offer sits in a different space entirely: a wellness model, not a medical model. The goal isn't to treat disease, it's to help you understand yourself, and/or why has your body develop this disease...release what's weighing on you, and feel more like you.
Within that space, here's what I actually see, session after session:
A body that finally gets listened to
Muscle testing, in my hands, is more about tuning into what's really going on for someone — physically, emotionally, neurologically and energetically.
A window into the "why"
So much of what we carry — anxiety, fatigue, old patterns, tension — has a root. Kinesiology helps trace why a pattern took hold in the first place — the emotional event, the belief, the moment the body started holding on — so we're working with the source, not just the surface symptom. If you're navigating a health condition and you're curious about the emotional or stress layers connected to it, this is exactly where kinesiology can add real insight, alongside your medical care.
Genuine nervous system relief
Helping people move out of a stress response and into calm. That's the body doing what bodies do when they're finally given permission to relax.
The whole person, not just one piece
I work across the Triad of Health — structural, biochemical, and emotional — because those three are never as separate as we pretend they are;)
And I bring the rest of my toolkit into that same space too — coaching, NLP, hypnotherapy, timeline therapy, Human Design, and my own lived experience as a mum navigating a full, imperfect life. It's all aimed at the same thing: helping you get to the root of a pattern, not just manage it from the outside.
A quick, honest word on the science

You might have heard that muscle testing hasn't held up well under the microscope and that's true, so I won't pretend otherwise. What's genuinely fascinating, though, is why the body responds the way it does during a session. Science points to something called the ideomotor effect — well-documented proof that the subconscious mind can trigger small, real, involuntary muscle responses, entirely outside conscious control. In other words: the body really is talking. That's not a diagnostic result — but it is a real, measurable window into the subconscious, and it's exactly why this work can feel so revealing.
Curious what actually happens in your first session?
Once you've booked in, I'll send you a short intake form — it helps me prepare so we can make the most of our time together, plus all the details on how to find me. When you arrive, we'll start with a chat about where you're at and what you'd like out of the session.
If you're not sure what that is, honestly, don't worry — the body always wants to address something. I often say the less I know going in, the better, because it keeps the conversation open with the body rather than stories...
From there, it depends a bit on you. Some people like to talk through the session, some prefer quiet, and both are completely valid — you might even fall asleep, which is fine too, because your subconscious never does.
It's also completely normal to walk out afterwards without being able to explain exactly what happened. That's okay — as long as you're feeling lighter, calmer, or better than when you walked in, that's the work doing exactly what it's meant to.
I usually recommend three sessions to really start to feel and understand what kinesiology can do for you — more on that another time.
One last thing: come with an open mind...
"Kinesiology is a bit like Wi-Fi — you can't see it, but you know it's real."
So — does it work?
So if you looking for a way to feel truly seen and heard, to understand where a pattern began, and to release what's ready to be released — yes. That's what I've seen, session after session, for years.
If you've got doubts, bring them with you. I'd genuinely rather you ask than wonder.
