What Can I Expect After My First Kinesiology Session?

Ok so now, you've booked your first kinesiology session. Maybe you're curious, maybe you're a little unsure, maybe you're just hoping something in your life will finally feel a bit lighter or you might be searching for answers??? Wherever you're at... that's exactly the right place to start.
One of the questions I get asked most is simple: what happens after? What am I supposed to feel? Is there a "right" reaction? Let me walk you through it, of what I have witness...
We get to know each other slowly
Here's something that might surprise you: as a kinesiologist, I don't need to know every detail of your story before we begin. Building rapport matters far more to me than a checklist of facts.
In session, I let your body speak and direct where we go. That's what kinesiology is... your body has its own language, and my job is to listen to it.
The first session is really about safety. Before anything else can shift, your nervous system needs to feel like it can trust the space it's in. So a lot of what happens in that first hour is quiet, foundational work — removing layers of stress, one at a time, so we can eventually get closer to the root of what's really going on.
There's no "right" way to feel afterward
This is the part I want you to hear clearly: however you feel is absolutely valid.

Some people leave feeling lighter than when they arrived — and if that's you, that's a win. Some have a big "aha" moment where something suddenly makes sense. Others don't, and that's completely okay too. Some feel a wave of relief. Some shed tears. Some notice resistance coming up. I have genuinely seen it all, and none of it is wrong...
This is a respectful, safe space to process whatever comes up — no filters, no judgment, no performance required. Your body gets to show up exactly as it needs to.
Why I recommend three sessions to start
After a first session, it's common for people to feel a bit stuck on what just happened, or to joke that I must be psychic. I promise I'm not! I'm simply guided by what your body is showing me in that moment.
By the third session, you'll usually have a much clearer sense of what kinesiology can actually do for you, and a rough feel for how a session tends to flow — even though, truthfully, every single session is different.
As we build trust together, I can also start weaving in other tools from my kit: hypnosis, coaching, Human Design, and physical modalities like the SonaWave reset tool, depending on what you need...
What you might physically notice
Some clients fall asleep during a session — and that's completely fine. Your subconscious mind, the part of you responsible for rest, digestion, breath, and so much more, never actually switches off.
Clients often describe subtle physical sensations: a shift, a wave of warmth or cold, or even a kind of buzzing, electric feeling moving through the body — almost like a connection being switched back on.
This is honestly why I love kinesiology so much. Everything is welcome. This is your time, and your body's time, to be heard exactly as it is.

A modality that keeps on giving
Kinesiology isn't a once-off fix — it's more like ongoing maintenance for your wellbeing. Personally, I see my own kinesiologist monthly, sometimes more, depending on what's going on in my life. You genuinely can't overdo it — if anything, people tend to under-do it!
I think of kinesiology as a way of making life a little easier on yourself. It gently illuminates the blind spots we can't consciously see, and helps show the path ahead — a bit like your own internal navigation system.
If you're curious about what your first session might look like, I'd love to have a chat!
